I’m not sure if everyone is aware of this, but ESPN is hosting the X-Games the same time the con is going on. This is a huge safety concern because there’s going to be alcohol, and men, and alcohol addled men doing dumb shit, and there’s going to be plenty of half naked…

The way this post is worded is kinda ridiculous but having attended a con that was right next to a red bull publicity stunt event? Yeah, things can get kinda intense. And it’s not just the drunkies coppin’ a feel you need to worry about. Keep an eye on your personal belongings. This means wallets, bags, props, art, etc. People like to trash and steal stuff in crowds in general. That was our biggest problem, and happens at conventions even without multiple events happening at once.
I think the problem with the men will be the female cosplayers. With added security it shouldn’t be a problem though. However, the best advice you can give is don’t wear skimpy outfits? And if you do, expect the attention.
